Default clutch issue....

So my buddy wrecked his f2 pretty good. the crank got pushed thru.
so he got a engine off of ebay and I installed it.. today I finally got the rest of the parts on to make it ridable and I find that the clutch will not disengage. I have tryed to adjust it to the limits and back, with no luck.
It needs an oil change badly and I have no clue on the age of the oil, I read im my manual the old oil can cause clutch issues.. do you think I should try some new oil in it or just switch out the clutch? any advise would be kick ***

I too have heard that old, dirty oil can affect clutch performance. Before you change the clutch, change the oil and adjust the clutch again and see what happens.

I have the same problem, but I took my entire clutch apart to replace the shift forks. Now I can't get the clutch to disengage.
Can anyone tell me the proper procedure for reinstalling a clutch? How far does the clutch plate have to be in the clutch basket?
Is there a certain torque setting I need to tighten the bolts down to?

Thanks for any help.

Help an F2 bruthah out.
How did you know how far to install the clutch plate?
Can you give me a quick How To?

I've had the clutch off and on so many times, I agree that it's easy to do, but I just can't seem to get the clutch plate in the right spot.

Im not quite sure where you are getting messed up.. the clutch pack slides all the way in clutch drum. the last plate sits differently... I will take some pics on my spare motor otonight if I have some time.. I gotta go do a clutch on my car right now.

I was searching for "F2 clutch".

Whoo Hoo!
Thanks again to everyone who helped!
I got the clutch working tonight - took her out for a nice 20-minutes ride.

It's really nice to have 2nd gear!
