There's a 30 amp fuse under the tank (plus what I might be a spare underneath...make sure to check them too.
Have you tried removing the battery terminals and cleaning them?
I'm actually having a similar issue...power would come back on when I touched the battery terminals with the charger. Also, it looks as if my positive might have been loose.

woah, a 30a under the tank? that's news to me. I'll check that out today.
Maybe a du mb question, but how do I check them for continuity? Totally remove the coils from the spark plug then ohm testthem from each side where they'd connect to the spark plug? ...or do I check for continuity through the black boxes.?

I found in the manual how to do the ontinuity test on the ignition coil. -havn't done it yet.
So I don't know how i missed this before. Though I expected there would be a point in this fix like this one. But- When I turn the ignition ON my voltage goes from 13v down to .4volts! Yikes. Thought I tried that...

Okay, even better now. If I hook the bike up to the charger on low, then turn the ignition switch on for just a second I get power. I also get a loud buzzing noise from just in front of the ignition switch, or at it-hard to tell.
Looking to see now if there's something that looks faulted behiend the head light and windscreen.
Got all the plastic and headlight off the bike. I had a little corosion at the plug from the ignition switch, very very little though. Can't find anything obvious to me yet.
So, .4 volts at the battery with the ignition on- and 13v otherwise.

no the samething happened to me. It means your voltage reg. is bad and you cooked your battery litarely. You boiled off the acid and melted a short in the battery. Get a new battery. Once you have the new battery start the bike, with the bike running check the voltage on the battery. Rev the engine and see if the volts go up, if it goes up then well your voltage reg. is shot
