Center Stand Question

Can anyone tell me if having a center stand will make it any easier to pull the front forks? I have to change my fork seals, and I thought that maybe with a center stand, I could weight the back of the bike down to the ground, and this would lift the front tire off the ground. Any suggestions? Thanks

My suggestion is to take it to a shop and let them do it. Changing the fork seals requires a special lift because the forks have to be pefectly vertical in order to measure the amount of oil in the fork.
There is no specified schedule by Honda for replacing fork seals and oil, so I wouldn't do it unless yours are leaking.

If you use a center stand, it is possible to get the front tire off the ground to remove your front forks. If you are planning on adding weight to the back I would place the weight on the ground and then tie the bike to the weight. Another way to get the front end in the air when on a center stand is to use a small piece of wood on a jack and go just behind the fairing. I store my F2 in a shed to I have a spot on the floor that I can screw in an eyebolt and tie the rear tire down when I want to remove the front tire, which I do about every other week to get the wheel good and clean. I have used the jack and wood method on my Goldwing to remove the forks to have them rebuilt. I purchased my center stand from Bikebandit.com.
