You are supposed to turn it counter-clockwise to loosen... Lefty loosey...
And it's a nut, not a bolt.
I believe you need to "un-stake" the nut, which means punch/pry the part of the nut that has been punched into the shaft.
Put the bike in gear and have somebody hold the rear brake, then use your impact to loosen the nut.

Also, what did you use to hold the clutch center still??
as far as i can remeber it was just a normal thread nut not left handed. if you have a good tourqe setting on your gun then you can get away with holding a driver inbetween 2 of the clutch pressure plate bolt hole bits and short but full blasts. but be careful. that is excactly how i got mine off. i got a new nut for mine i broke the bit that was stacked so when i put it back there was nothing to restack it
also getting the bike into top gear stops the center shaft from spinning. getting someone to stand on the rear brake will stop the rear wheel from turnning the therefore acting like the engine brake when you change down a gear. i done mine on my own so never really had that option. if you put it into gear and dont hold the brake then the shaft will turn the bike over as if you where trying to bumpstart the bike. so make sure you are holding that brake hard i would prob be holding front as well.
Have now ;-) And the only reason I asked is because there was little detail on how to keep the clutch center from spinning.. w/o the 'special tool' or w/e.. I just used the impact and a flathead. Worked o k. The diffreence is night and day (clutch has been slippin since I picked her up). Gas it hard in 1st and the wheel shoots right up... Now thats more like it :-D Shouldnt be long before the new plates get some serious wheelie abuse. Just waitin on this ****en rain to leave :-(
