Default Cam chain tensioner cbr600fm

So I need a new cam chain tensioner but not sure Wether to replace with oem or a manual one?! Any advice greatly appreciated

Hi there

I would recommend that you go with the manual one, the F2 oem has a history of failure.
Been using a manual one since getting my F2 haven't had a problem, just needs adjustment every so often

Thanku, I've bought a manual one now how often does it need adjusting?

Default Cam chain tensioner

You only really need to adjust it when you hear the chain rattle, just to be safe I check and adjust (if necessary) with oil changes.
if I remember correctly there's a post on the manual tensioner install on the form, if I find it I'll link it
