Default Buying F2 parts from Baboon, be aware!

If you are thinking of buying replacement parts for your F2 or any other model of CBR from Baboon Motorcycle world of parts you need to know what to expect if you don't already. I live in the UK and needing parts for this PC25 I picked up on the link kindly provided by one of the members here a couple of weeks back. I need all kinds of replacement bits so I went on the site had a look around and found a left side main fairing panel in the exact livery I needed 'and, in great condition. The price was more than fair and the shipping was also very reasonable with DHL who they use which in all came to £73.37 and when the part arrived the day after ordering it looked great so I was very impressed.

Now, moving on a few weeks I'd been looking at some other items I needed from Baboon so I found each one added it to the cart 'then, clicked on the shipping link expecting at most to have to pay around £55 or there abouts, not the case. I wanted both tail side panels left and right and the little square top tail centrepiece which sits above the tail light the price on each item, £42.70 per left and right panel and £12.81 on the small top centrepiece so in all that was £98.21 then I clicked on the shipping link only to find it was going to cost £85.57. Thinking about it I deleted one item and re checked shipping and with every deletion the shipping charge went down, now, you might think yes of course it would. The thing is when you take into account the large panel I purchased two weeks ago how much 'that, cost me on shipping 'and, the fact that it arrived in a HUGE box big enough for me to get in and how much 'that weighed 'this purchase of the three VERY light items packaged all together in the 'same box 'should have been no more or not much more than that of the first shipping price.

So, what you have to take into account here is, if you only want one item your shipping will be around £42 to the UK not sure about America or other countries 'but,if you want 'more than one item even though those items "for example plastics, will more than likely arrive in the same box you WILL be charged separately on each individual item on shipping so if your three items cost you say £86 you will be looking at "double that price after including shipping which, to me, is an outright Con, at least Dick Turpin had the decency to wear a mask you knew where you stood with that guy 'this in my opinion is daylight robbery.

To those of you with money to burn this may not bother you one little bit but if you are working to a budget spending what you can when you can sometimes every penny counts "especially when you are trying to get your bike done without breaking the bank and spending more than the bike will be worth at the end of the day, so, all I can say is, be aware.

Totally agree. The excessive shipping cost is the reason I have never used Baboon.
