First ride of the new season. Just a touch cold, 33^F by the bank sign.

Yep, still officially winter.

I pedaled to work yesterday. Although the afternoon temp was going to be close to 60*F it was 26*F at 5:30 a.m. My water bottle was slushy ice by the time I got to work. I figure I'll appreciate these types of rides more in July/August when it is 95*F and 150% humidity.

Looking at fifty nlater next week in West Michigan... Getting the oil changed soon and I'll be out on the streets shortly...

Unhappy

Well, back in the garage the bike goes. With a high of 33 the other day and sunshine the roads were clear enough to ride. Now there is three more inches of snow on the ground and a high of 9*F.

It was fine for riding Friday and Saturday. I was out both days riding the back roads between I-70 and Route 94 all the way to Columbia. The biggest problem was the wind. There were 20mph gusts which were a little hairy on my F2.

that sucks.. man i would hate to live back east.. i live in arizona so were in the 80's now.. i get year round riding.. no snow just gets to about 33 in the winter...
