broken stator case screw help help
i bought a 94 cbr 600 f2 motor all it needed was a stator cover and rotor and flywheel. while i was installing the stator cover got to the last screw and it wasnt grabbing. so i took the cover off and noticed that the old screw was broken off in the block.
so my question is if i buy a new stator gasket and use gasket sealer do u think it will leak oil because i dont think there is too ,much oil pressure in there.
i havetried drilling the screw out thats not working. what r my options?

I don't think it will leak because of oil pressure, but I think it will leak from lack of clamping force in that particular area of the cover. In my professional opinion, I would buy an extractor kit from a reputabile tool company, and drill it out, and extract what is left in the block. If the threads in the engine are damaged, your only other course of action is to heli-coil the hole. Now, I am not going to reccomend it, but I am sure it has been done....you probably could use some sort of JB Weld to seal it up, if you got the surfaces completely oil residue free, and didn't want to try the above repair.
