Well, even if you got 1000RR street fairings, you would have to come up with a method of supporting the lights, so, you could still do that here, you would just have to very carefully and precisely cut the farings for the headlights.

These were probably used on an endurance bike, since it has lights installed, or, someone just modified these fairings for use on the street, either way, that's a pretty good buy, considering all you have to do is treat some rash, prep, and paint, UNLESS, there are cracks, breaks, and places where the rash has gone all the way through, that can't be seen in those pics... I would request the seller email you more pics, or inquire about damage that maybe can't be seen.

Then again, what am I talking about? It's $189!! Fiberglass repair is a breeze, and often times makes the repaired section stronger than it was before... me, personally, I would probably go for it, especially since a Sharkskinz kit for that year will run you over $1000 (unless you can find it cheaper than on their site), and you would still have to drill all the holes for mounting, if I remember correctly. Also, the shipping is very reasonable for that size package, according to the calculations to various lower 48 states.

OK... I just saw the additional pics under the "description" section of that sale posting.

So, yeah, there's more damage than "meets the eye", when only looking at the main picture, but it's still do-able... the part that looks a little unattractive, is toward the back of the upper, on both sides, where it starts to taper down to where it meets the lower... it looks like it's been heat-damaged or something - kind of "warped", and strangely wavy there, do you see what I'm talking about?
Not sure if that was a failed repair, heat damage, or what, but it does look weird.

I see what you mean. I messaged them for a better price but I doubt they will lower the price alot on it, that seller never does. Lol I can still look for oem pieces, but like I said, the mid fairing or upper (because the nose is one whole piece) fairing are really expensive on ebay, and the 1000rr forums are not too friendly with fairings, only engine parts or 06-07 fairings which are different.

You know, now that I said it, I havent look around for 06-07 fairings, maybe I can find something more reasonable.

BAAAAM! For an 06 street fairing they are $364 shipped in fiberglass. How can they be cheaper than the 04. Although the 04 fairings look easier to modify and fit the f2.

I dont dig the headlight at all man. It makes it look very dated. I have the cash right now to buy the fairings so why not go for it. I love the divided seat look so ill go 1000rr.

UPDATE: I found a full fairing set on craigslist for $200, only problem is their 150 miles away. I asked to send me lots of pictures and if its good I might go and pick them up sunday.

I like the way it looks also but the fairings I have right now are cracked and rashed. Id rather go 1000rr and give a different look.

The other day I got my lunch break and went to chick-fil-a and sat on the window looking at my bike outside and really liked how it look all black, but something tells me do the conversion.

Well guys I had a problem today. My upper right, lower right, and door flew off of my bike while riding in the highway, causing the fairing to break into pieces, so I didnt bother to go back. my tail was gonna fly off also but my leg was holding it till I got to work.

Im guessing now im forced to either do a 1000rr conversion or have to get some used fairings, but the whole point was to do a swap on the bike anyways. I'll see what I can do as of right now.
