What did the 2 Brothers build consist of? In an old Sport Rider magazine they got to ride on Ontario Racing (Ontario something, I forget exactly) F2, it was bad as hell. Had ram air, clip-on below the clamps, etc. This was before F3s came out. I want to say Kas Yoshima was the builder but dont quote me.

Squale- You recommend lightening the crank for street use? I want this build to be Street/Track ready, but not have to rebuild it 6 month later either. Also, can you forward the article of the build to me via PM?

The F4i pistons are a cheaper replacement of 66.48mm aftermarket piston, but the cylinder wall needs to be bored out to 67mm, 2mm over spec, leaving .52mm for clearance. 'BUT', F4i is 12:1 compression versus the Wiseco 13:1 compression or JE Pistons 13.5:1 compression. Stock F2 is 11.5:1 compression in case anyone was wondering. Giving .5 compression more over 2mm larger pistons.

yea there were more then a few builds by 2 brothers through out the years but the one i did was an early one((1991)) 1mm over wiseco,HRC wristpins the cams were HRC to tbr spec,.020 inch off the head HRC valve springs and valvesthere was a little more to the build like lighting the crank and sandcasted 36mm carbs but i hade no shot of finding them.. if anyone could find an old CW mag from september 1991 this build is in it..

I have talked with fellow riders at work and hear the same responses; "My Kawl has 116Hp" or "my R1 has 170Hp", "why build a motor with only a 110WHP?". My answer, "I would rather say, I built that, not bought it". I feel confident I am going to appreciate this bike even more than I already do. Again, I can afford a new bike. Like the R1 or Triumph Street Triple 675R, but my Ratted Out CBR has way more charecter. Plus it is built to my exact needs in the twisties. It doesn't matter what it looks like at 80+MPH.

My wife gave me the ok to start the project. She wonders what to call it with the F4i pistons and the F3 conversion already. I said the 'F234', hokey but it works. LOL

Do any of you know a ball park price to have a F2 engine mildly built, +2mm, a little head porting, a little crank lightening, maybe some mild cams, I have no idea, just wondering.

Lightening and +2mm Bore is around $400, F4i pistons and Intake camshaft around $75 on ebay. 67mm head gasket, $82 on Cbrzone. Complete Gasket & seal kit $200. Plus adustable cam gear and timing gear $90 on cbrzone. Building your own motor with your friends...Priceless!

Should I start a step-by-step build blog with pics? Little bit more time consuming, but would anyone really like it?
