Another CCT question... again
Swappedthe stock CCT about8 weeksago as it was knackered. Rode into town about a week ago and parked up. Came back to the bike after 15 minutes or so, fired her up and the noise came back with a vengence! The bike was running hot in the busy town traffic as i came in. I took her for a spin on some twisty roads and stopped after about 30 minutes - the sound gone. Been fine since, I ride daily to work (about 100 mile round trip).
Why would this happen, can the CCT 'drain' it's oil? I rarely ride through town and I parked the bike on the centrestandon the path (sidewalk) that was on a very slight downhill slope, rear of bike pointing downhill.

RE: Another CCT question... again
Okay, I have the EXACT same problem. I replaced the CCT with a Honda one and it was all good. But every once in a while I will get that crazy noise that sounds like serious valve clatter or cam chain chatter, but it goes away after a while and its fine. I do not know where to even start with this problem. If someone could help me and britman out that would be amazing.

RE: Another CCT question... again
The cct is the Cam Chain Tensioner, like the name states it applies continous pressure to the cam guide to keep the cam chain under tension. THe problem that people have is the stock Honda cct fails all the time. It is pressureized by the oil pressure in thee system and that seems to be where the probloem lies. Anyway, I think I am just going to get a manual CCT and screw the Honda part.
