Default Anodized Can

Anyone know anything about anodization? My D&Dis a little scratched up, and I would like to fix it. If not, I thought of painting it with black high temp paint, but Ihave a feelingthe bike would be too plain looking.

Oh ****, I think that "smoke" color would look nice. Thanks man, I might try it. Hopefully it doesn't flake off with multiple heat up/ cool down cycles. This stuff says it's good to 500 degrees intermittently. Anyone know how hot it gets at the inlet to the muffler? I can't imagine much hotter than 350-400 deg. Unless, I'm running lean, that is. (which I'm not)

Its been on my valve cover for three years and is still holding up, no chipping or peeling. I just spray engine brite on it from time to time and that freshens it up.

btw I did mine in red and I found that the least spray you do to get even coverage gives the best effect. If you put it on to heavy it loses the aperance of being anodized and I also used the base coat they sell.

here is the problem with pictures... the only ones I have saved(that I can retrieve)with the anodized red are the small parts. At one point I was going to sell the car so I started to put it back to the original condition so the picture I took today is the cover with the base coat only (resembles oem valve cover color) If I can figure out a way, I know I have pictures saved on my old broken computer I can post
