Having seen F2's with fog lights, neons, heated vests and radar detectors, I think the charging systems can handle a lot heavier load than we give them credit for. Since the regulator actually is "burning off" extra voltage produced by the stator, does it stand to reason that more equipment might lessen the load on the regulator? Just curious.
Well actually no. The Reg/Rec does decrease the voltage put out by the Stator but the voltage isn't the issue with the extra equipment. You can run 5,000 lights off a battery in a parallel configuration and they are all gonna see 12volts. The amperage is the issue. the extra amp load on the system will cause the reg/rec not to be able to "burn-off" the voltage as efficiently.
