Default acid evaps from battery after 5 weeks

this is the 3rd battery since ive owned the bike, 8 months now

first battery that came with the bike wouldnt hold a charge, that was swapped out the second day

second battery wouldnt hold a charge, then i realized it had no acid in it, i was suprised that a 7month old battery would dry up that quick, i replaced the evaporated acid with distilled water. 2 weeks later the battery gave a "bad cell" code to my battery charger.

3rd battery is about 5 weeks old, this morning i went to start the bike. and it was very weak, i had to push start it. trying to leave for lunch, and same thing, battery is very weak, so i pulled the battery, and checked the acid level, it was dry. now im thinking there is something more to this.

background info

25,000 miles
bike is ridden 40 miles everyday except sundays(20 miles to work, 20 miles home)
i live in south florida
front fairing is missing from bike

WTF? I've never heard of the acid evaporating froma battery. Maybe this could be related to the common rectifier problem that our bikes tend to have. The only other thing I could think of is a short that causes the battery to heat up.Is the battery hot to the touch after you've been riding at night for a while? Is there a difference during the day?

ive never touched the battery after a ride. guess that the first on my list.

i was reading 1 guys story about his battery blowing up due to bad regulator/rectifier, i never considered that because my battery hasnt blown up...

but excessive heat would be an indication of overcharging. and since no one else chimed in and said "yea my battery needs refilling also.. its this excessive heat in the air" im going to have to assume its a faulty regulator/rectifier.

I dont know about regular bikes but on cars cant you overcharge and boil a battery so to speak.? I would check the charging system on it, cause they just dont dry up like that.

I would agree, but a malfunction with what is charging the system, could do anything. Seems the R/R is quite problematic in our bikes.
