Default 94 F2 with throttle problems

My F2s throttle was sticking so I decided to change the cables. The old cables were the problem but in installing the new ones I was careful to follow the old routing. At first there was no snap back when I moved the handlebars. Now I have good snap back no matter where the bars are but no free play and can not adjust any in. Anyone have any thicks or advice.

Thanks

I have never had so much problems changing a set of cables. I went back and checked and the cables are in their correct location and the same size as the old ones. There is just no free play. The pull cable has the adjustments on it and at the carb its set all the way against the rear nut and at the handlebars there is no thread showing at that adjustment. If I mess with either of the adjustments it binds up. Has anyone else had this type of problem changing a set of cables.

Thanks

Well bknob I haven't had to adjust my cables but I'll tell you when I first got my bike, the cables had no snap back at all. All I did was WD-40 the hell out of them and kept twisting the throttle back and forth, and it eventually started to snap back. This may or may not help, but I figured I would give you some info on my own experience. Later
