Hey guys pulled the bike out this morning dewinterized it changed the plugs ect... but just cant get it to run got spark got compression and carbs are clean tried pulling it down the road and got nothing keeps backfiring when cranking it over flames out the exhaust the whole 9. So I figured it jumped time when I tried to pull it down the road. Pulled the valve cover off its in time but I thinking one of my valves might be burnt bent to tight idk but can anyone give me the specs on valve clearence cant find it in the manual. Thanks!

 

IN: 0.13mm - 0.19mm
EX: 0.19mm - 0.25mm
COLD!

 

Ok valves are in spec I have compression and spark the plugs are wet so its getting gas why wont it run!!! Its 40 degrees out but it should still fire up it ran when parked any suggestions?

 

You said plugs are wet, are they getting spark?

 

Igniter leads on the correct cylinders ?

 

Do a spark test - make sure you're getting a nice hot blue spark.

 

 

I had this problem on a cbf125 it turned out that the sparkplug was faulty. Put it to the engine to test and it was arcing to the casing and not to its point. Changed plug turned it over and away it went. Just a suggestion.....

 

Changed the plugs cranked it over 1 time and away she went. I didnt know plugs could go bad from just sitting through the winter? I changed them when I parked it they just wouldnt fire under a load. thanks man!
