yeah I do have the factory wiring diagram. I think I may be wasnt clear in my first message, I meant that I have a replacement relay, not that I have two of them hooked up. unless there actually are supposed to be two relays, which I didnt think was the case.
alright so I just wanted to come back on here to let anyone following this thread know that I ended up figuring out the issue. Pretty stupid issue, basically the previous owner had the turn signal relay hooked up to the connector that was supposed to be connected to the left turn signal. the connecter for the relay, left, and right turn signal that comes from the harness are all the same, except one is red, one is green (the red and green connect to the turnsignal lights themselves) and one is black and has a dust boot on it. I just didnt notice until I was studying the wiring diagram and was about to test the wires when I realized that the wire colors on the connector I thought was the turn signal connector were wrong. so in the end, the problem I was having was just things being connected improperly, now everything on my bike works.
