I have an 04 F4i. Come this winter I'll do a bit of weight lost program too but I'm more of a value/effort person. lol. So from your lists other than removing unnecessary items, the main things that lost the most amount of weight are battery and exhaust?

Yes, the three parts that yielded the most weight loss per item, from highest to lowest, were:

1) Shorai battery - 5 lb. 5.7 oz

2) RS-3 muffler - 6 lb. 1.59 oz (bear in mind, I further shortened the can, which was somewhere between 1/2 to 3/4 lb of that number).

3)Two Brothers header - 3 lb. 2.34 oz

These three items total just over 14 1/2 lb. of "fat trimming".

The battery yielded the best "bang-for-the-buck" of all my mods, as it's location means it had the biggest affect on changing directions.

This post is simply for those who have subscribed to this thread, and might want to know that phase 2 has begun, though, it sorta began already, kinda... anyway.

'93 F2 Mods - Phase 2

There's kinda of a quick photo summary of what's already been done, that has a bearing on further race prepping of the bike, which is what phase 2 is about - just a "heads up", since, if you're subscribed to this thread, you've seen that stuff already.

***Mods: Please lock this thread, if possible - no need for traffic on two threads for the same bike!!***

The progress of the second thread will be a little slower than the first, but I'll get something new up there today.

Hey stovl, have you still got yours? I actually picked up mine back in '09, and as Frank mentioned, it is now gone - living elsewhere, racing in a different series!

Due to a small accident that corrupted its cherry original condition, I decided to further corrupt it with a lot of changes, involving a lot of go-fast parts... here are a few pics of its next iterations, and then its final state as a full race bike, which is how it was when I sold it to pick up the new machine:

Whether or not you still have it, do you have any pics of your F2 of that OEM scheme? Post 'em up, I'd love to see it!
