o man...many new problems, bike doesnt idle now, rode it today and gave it a nice punch and after that it stopped idling, i just walk into my garage and a huge gas spill in the garage. not a happy camper since i just got this bike yesterday. will post photos tommrow.

Sounds like crap in the carbs, revving it has probably clogged the idle jets and the gas spill is either stuck float needles or the o-rings in the T-couplings between the carbs, nothing abnormal there if the bike has sat for a while, just gotta remove the carb battery, flip it, remove the float bowls and clean the jets and needles. Some do it on the table but it can be done on the bike without removing the cables. While you're down there thoroughly check the hoses for cracks and since it's already apart you might wanna check/replace the spark plugs aswell. And be careful with carb cleaner spray, wear crappy clothes cause it can destroy fabric.

Another thing you might want to check is the petcock as it is vacuum operated and should not let gas through without the engine running so the leak might be there too.

give the carbs a clean, the tutorial on here is great i could do it and i am a mechanical idiot !

it is a great resource as well and full of information if you search. sometimes i spend hours searching and dont find what i am looking for only to have someone point it out to me but at least i try
