Actually, regardless of the TIRE'S width, unless you go up to some INSANE size, it'll fit; only stopper is the hugger.

I've got a 180 PR5 on my F2, and am going to go up to a Diablo 190. Bear in mind that the hugger's going to be your problem, not the width...

The tire won't be any wider than the clearance of the oem. from the 160 wheel. The part that'll be 'bigger' will be the profile (ignore the profile number on the tire, itself. That's GOING to change.)

Take a strip of paper and hold it between your thumb and forefinger, width-wise. As you bring you fingers together, the paper bulges higher. If the width is set (i.e. an oem 160 wheel) the HEIGHT will change.

I can say this, though from going up from the 160 to the 180: The bike FEELS more stout, more substantial and more stable all over. Both straight-away, and on curves... And the **** lloks HAWT! [8D]

If you want to go up, the only way that you're going to do it - completely hassle free - is to ditch the rear hugger. I'm not running one (nor a rear fender), so that's not an issue with me. I have intil the dogbones, practically.

I'll post a couple of pics, when I getta chance, and will give explanations, if need be.

I like both the look and the substantial stoutness (riding dynamics) of the 180... I think when this one goes I'm going to bump to the 190. I set mine on, and that night had people commenting on how much more aggressive it looks. [8D]

Since I work/ run a pool hall, overnight, in Jacksonville, I park right out front, on the street. Alot of people see it as they drive by, and like the bigger look...

It's kind of like a modern bike (w/ a 190 oem) going up to a 220.... How's the 190 handle? Not like it's going to matter to *ME.* I don't do too much knee-dragging, these days, but I know the 180 PR5 likes the curves.

If the hugger touches, you can do what I did, since mine was warped as all get out anyway: I took some paint stick pieces andwedged them in where ever there was too little clearance, then heated up each spot gently with a heat gun, now it fits like a glove. [8D]
