Hey corruptfile. I'll remember that you know what to do when mine dies. I'd be interested to know how you do the retrofit. What are the symptoms that are telling you the r/r is going bad? Have you tested it?

Your bike will be nice and sturdy when you have do the job now anyway

Should be fairly easy to do. Just join the 2 reds and 2 greens of the honda harness together. Yellows are the same. Just have to mount it on the subframe somewhere it can wick the heat efficiently.

The symptoms I'm getting are flickering lights, the HID only works occasionally, the bike sometimes dies at idle. Have yet to test the voltage.

So the R/R got swapped and it has cured my ailments. No more bogging at idle, lights work perfect... very happy. Also swapped the wheel bearing in the cush drive - it was beyond knackered.

Today I put on some of those chinese pazzo knockoffs. Work pretty good actually. You cannot tell the difference between a set of these and the real thing.

Default Newbie only vid: front fender removal lol!

Hey folks, so when I did this for the first time and having never really worked on a bike before I even struggled a few minutes to do this.

Pulled and cleaned the 4 carbs yesterday. Ran good before but better now.

Trying to get enough posts so I can start a thread on my new purchase and get some questions answered.

Welcome to the CBR Forum Mr Giggles,

Yes, it takes a few posts to get your membership approved. We all had to go through the process, it's not difficult. Ask the questions you need and the Admins will see and approve your membership.

Hi guys

just a little vid showing a couple of nasty bits on my bike. I know my contributions aren't very interesting in terms of doing mechanical work but I just think these little points might help out a newbie with their bike. Hope you don't mind.
