Default weird stuttering, cutout problem

Ok so i took a long highway trip with some buddies yesterday. I sit up on the tank for a few minutes to stretch my legs out from the long ride and noticed a problem. If i try to accelerate while i'm sitting on the tank it stutters and misses. I hop down back onto the seat and the bike runs perfect. I took the tank off today to look for any bare wires that i might be smashing when i hop on the tank but couldn't find any. Anyone got any suggestions?

Sounds like it was the factory IPS kicking in. Don't worry thats normal. Now if it made a high pitch whistle followed by a knock and gurgling I would have someone call 911 right away.

There is no IPS. Just as there is no good reason to troubleshoot a carberation glitch created by less than sensible riding positions.

I didn't say it was the best position to ride in. Was just stretching my legs for a minute. Wasnt trying to do something stupid on the tank or nothing. Guess it's not that big a problem was just wondering if it was something that might lead to a problem starting. Wanted to stop it before it did. Thanks for the responses guys, i really appreciate it.

the first thing that comes to mind is your sealing off the gas cap or something and it's not venting so the decrease of pressure inside is cutting off your fuel, that's just my guess. are you putting pressure directly on the cap?
