is the extra money to buy full syn worth it to you? i have over 90,000 mi on mine and i just use semi-syn and change oil regularly. no clutch problems either.

i was going to ask opinions as well, i was planning on making the switch soon. my dad is a wholesale mgr for NAPA so we will get it at cost, so it is cost effective for me.

ive ran ams oil in my old F3 for 5000 miles when i had it. no problems, even ran a bit smoother, and smoother clutch shifting. now i run ams oil in my 1000rr, and still no problems. bike runs smoother and a bit cooler with the syn oil, and shifts smoother.

i always run full syn in my cages too. have 95000+ on my import, bought it wiht 6mi on the ticker. no problems ever, only pay for gas, oill changes and maitinence. this carsbeen thru nitrous (8 10lb bottles in 3 months), turbo's and super chargers and motor still runs stronger than ever. now its my bike hauler for trackdays.

I use either Mobil 1 Bike full syn or Honda's racing syn lube, no problems. I did have problems runningsyn car oil, it has additives that mademy clutch slip. So don't us car syn oil. But bike specific go for it!

I use Amzoil in all of my motorcycles.

Amzoildropped the oil temp on my GL1800 by 10 degrees.

At first I was a little worried about using a full syn oil in my $18,000 dollar motorcycle.

The GL1800 Honda manual says it's ok to use their syn(Honda Oil) only after the 3,000 mile break in.

I am using it in the Hurricane for about a year now and I can sayfor sure there has been no clutch slippage what so ever!

You can pick up full syn bike oil at Autozone and Wal Mart.

Just make sure you buy the oil thats made for motorcycles only.

This oil has special chemicals for a wet clutch.
