Default Suspension question

Hey guys I'm custom fitting a new body on my 1987 hurricane. Well to make the front end fit right I had to switch the triple stay and grips around. So the triple stay is above the grips now. How will this affect my handling?

Shouldn't affect it all all, but you will notice you will be leaning a bit further forward.

You mean tank grips? You can get something like this:
TechSpec USA
And cut it to your spec.
Or use something like skateboard griptape. That stuff isn't very comfy on your knees though, and abrades your pants.

My Hurricane had the bars under the triple tree when I got it. Couldn't turn the thing more than 1/4 travel because the bars hit the tank...or your hands will. Not sure that is such a great idea.
