Default STREETFIGHTER HEADLIGHT

Anyone ever swap the original headlight for a streefighter headlight, specifically An Acerbis one,And what is the difference with the lights being D.O.T approved and non D.O.T?thanks in advance.

their alot dimmer from what I understand, so if you drive on alot of unlit roads it could be a issue

mainly your headlight goes from alright at best to pretty much crap.

I like the 7" round headlights personally, find one of them with an H4 housing in it and figure out how to run an HID bulb, or get some Buell projectors and again, HIDs.

I have some PIAA "non-DOT" lights on my Xterra and holy crap do they light up the road, My best guess is that they want safety crap 55W junk and a low beam. the 135W lamps I had on my RX7 were nuts.

More or less think that DOT is thinking for the safety of others oncoming rather than how far YOU can see.

I want to know if you can change the bulbs on these streetfighter headlights to a brighter bulb.

can't we use the old light and housing on a new light make something to keep it all together?

I use fog lights with a toggle switch on my NT650. Works fine for me but all my nighttime riding is in urban areas.
