Default Sprocket size

Has anyone done anything like this 520 Conversion and how did it turn out? Big difference or no?

I never did it on my 600 Hurricane, but have on my 900RR and yeah, its noticable. -1 up front and 520 chain. Lost 1.6lbs of rotatioanl mass. Mostly because of the aluminum rear sprocket. Not alot of speedo error induced, reads 4mph high now according to local radar, minor rpm added for a given mph, but not bad. Accelerates noticably quicker. You'll like it if you go -1. Just going from 530 to 520, no I dont think you'll notice that at all.

i would like to try a 520 conversion as well, but i keep talking myself out of it because the lightweight sprockets don't last as long as steel. Also, i don't know how long a 520 chain will last compared to a 530. i commute about 1500 miles a month so i like some items to last a little longer and chain and sprockets happen to be some of those items.
