Default Shifting question

Anyone elses F1 a lil noisey going from 1st to 2nd. Kinda clunks. It has been this way since i bought the bike. Just wasnt sure if it was normal? Bike has 28,400 miles on it. Fresh oil and all is fine. Just clunks a lil. In2-6 gears it is doesnt much at all. Just 1st to second. Anything i should worry about, or just normal stuff? Thanks for the help..

Could it be chain noise, or are you sure it's internal?

Very small clunk? could be the selector having to go past nuetral and then re-engaging the synchros as it clears. I'm not sure on that though. Mine clunks very slightly and I can barely hear it inside my helmet on the 1-2 shift, and the 2-1 downshift, nowhere else though.

My bike does the same thing, I was told it was the shifter passing neutral.

I figured it was the passing neutral thing. Since it is only on the 1-2 shift, and actually the 2-1 downshift also now that i think about it. I cant hear it at all in the helmet, but with no helmet it is noticeable. Sometimes it is smoother than others also. Depends on the RPM'S. thanks for all the info..

Yeah, "clunk" is the best word for it -- mine does it so loudly that when I shift into second around pedestrians, I'm certain they must think my bike is falling apart!
