I have a hairline crack in the side of the radiator about an inch above the lower radiator hose facing the fins. Does anyone know what the radiator is made out of? I want to try and braze it if it's aluminum. Trying to figure out if this is worth fixing or if I need to find a used replacement.

Any ideas?

 

Have you search eBay, they sometimes have good cheap parts on there. Many years is interchangeable so this will Help widen your search...

 

I already looked, and while there are rads available for my year, they are still used.

Do you know what years are interchangeable with an 87 CBR600?

 

I just pulled the radiator off and am going to take it to a radiator shop to have repaired, hopefully it can be.

1987-1990 are same radiator for your bike

 

Yeah, that's just a microfiche parts finder. Everywhere has those.

I know 87-90 is compat, that is the CBR600F. I was curious if other models fit, like: 91-94, 95-98, etc.

I'm just getting this one fixed anyways, hopefully.
