Default Project '89 is basically done

Short history. Bought one new in '89. In '92 my brother totaled it.

In about '03 he married a girl who had an '89 sitting behind her mother's house covered with a torn up tarp. Didn't run. I'm a motorcycle mechanic (Harley) and offered to see what I could do. It went to the back of the barn and sat for some time.

About a year ago I started serious work. Completely rebuilt all four carbs, completely rebuilt them again when gas poured out while it was running. Completely rebuilt them again when it didn't run at all. Replaced the chain and sprockets, battery, new Battleaxe tires, replaced leaking valve cover gasket, replaced fork seals and upgraded to 10W oil to stiffen it up a bit, cleaned it up from years of sitting.

Last week rode it home and have put about 200 miles on it. Having a blast and looks like it may just be mine since she now has two kids and no interest in riding any more.

Still needs a couple little things (tank is dented where I dropped it like an idiot while fiddling with the carbs, mirror bolt cover missing by windshield on LHS, small oil leak on back of engine somewhere) but it runs great, those Battleaxes corner like it's on rails, the Hindle Stealth exhaust sounds incredible, and I am having a great time.

I do need one small part that maybe someone has a line on. Inside the front fairing, just to either side of the windshield, there are two small covers that cover the mirror mounting bolts. I am missing the left side one. If anyone knows of one for sale please send me a PM.

Thanks.
