Default Please help identify this bike..

This bike is for sale, and I dont know much about it. I was told it is a 1990 CBR 600. Im not sure which model though. I can see its missing all fairings and a driver side mirror. It does not run. Needs the carb rebuilt and a fuel line I think. The only thing after market, is the YOSHI pipe. Does $200 sound like a good deal? Also, what exact model is this if you can tell?

CBR600F, 1987 based on the gas tank. You will have to get the VIN to be sure of the year.
$200 is a good deal if you know how to work on things mechanical. If you do not, then I would recommend buying something that runs already. good luck!

The bike runs, just not well at all. I think it needs to have the carbs cleaned, not rebuilt.

I can tell you that a $200 bike will generally require $1000 to get up to snuff again, although all of that is retained in value. It may require less depending upon the condition of everything, but all of it is probably near needing replacement, espescially since it's blatantly been crashed a few times.
