Default Oil viscosity

Don't really know too much about oil, so i figured i start a thread. I was thinking about running a heavier oil to help seal the ol' girl. Any suggestions, or viscosity knowledge anyone cares to share?

Any 10W-40 or 20W-50 oil will work just fine for your hurricane. I personally run 15W-40 diesel oil because A) it contains the same additive pack as boutique brand motorcycle oil and B) you can purchase it much cheaper them motorcycle specific oil. If a heavier oil s what you desire, 20W-50 will work just fine.

It don't have to be motorcycle specific, there is only a few Motorcycle specific oil that are really better and there not $3 a quart better.
I like the 15w40 diesel spec oil to, The Shell Rotella T 15w40 Diesel Oil is used by many Motorcyclist and is highly rated by many for motorcycles. Also if you want to go with synthetic oil Mobil One 15w50 automotive oil is highly rated.
I myself have used all the above and liked it all, I am using Amsoil 15w40 synthetic HD Diesel oil now.
