Noisy brakes?
When I coast to a stop at intersections recently I have been hearing my brakes "barking" it's not all that loud but an annoyance. I have heard horror stories about brakes grabbing round corners and sending the rider sliding down an asphult slip-slide. I don't want this to happen to me or my 88 Cain' what do you guys think it might be? I was thinking it might need brake grease on the retaining pins in the calipers.

I second that.. it's usually not very hard to disassemble and clean/lube everything unless your cap screws are frozen like mine were
At least lift the front wheel and make sure the pads aren't dragging due to a stuck caliper piston. The brake fluid on mine was neglected before I bought it and deposits formed on the pistons inside which caused them to stick & drag the brakes.
