No spark
Hi there got a 1987 CBR600 h I have lost the spark, bike been stood for 4months was going, went to start the other day no go, spinning over ok but no spark, had a check of all connections and fuses all ok, so trying to find out how to test CDI unit, I have got 12v to coils (black/white tracer),
Have tried to find a CDI unit but they all seem different, my CDI as a block of 4 spades and the other block as 5 spade terminals, the one CDI I can find as a block of 4 for pulse coils and the other block as 6 spade terminals, is there a way to fit this
Thanks in advance Paul

What's part#? Can determine which model it came from. Then look up wiring-diagram to verify all terminals connect or don't connect to proper wires. Older ones only used 4-terminals of larger connector. Later ones used all 6. Post photo of harness connectors and let's see how many wires are actually in larger connector. Unfortunately, wiring-diagram doesn't give terminal positions for these wires.
Have you measured usual culprits? Resistance to ground of clutch/sidestand and neutral switches at spark-unit connector?
To test coil-trigger wires from spark-unit, you'll need to analyse signal with oscilloscope. Would show up as full-power most of time with momentary drops to ground when spark is triggered.
Or can use solenoid-light across both terminal of each coil. If coil's getting triggering signal from spark-unit, it would blink solenoid light.
