this sounds much like a problem i had with my bike just after i purchased it. after two days of testing stuff and wat not i took it to a friends dad and turns out it was just some bad connections. take off the right hand tail section and unplug the ignition module and make sure the connectors are clean and plug it back in. thats all it took on my bike.
