Just wanted to know if any one that has mounted a newer seat on there cane has any close up pics of the mounting?....for an example a 05 600RR seat...Which seat fits the contours of the tank the best?....im going for the bobber look..just the front seat and nothing else no tail at all. the lights will be mounted under the seat..

I was going to go to a salvage yard with the tank to find a seat but the closest one to me is like 2 hrs away...

Any suggetions, Pics, Advice, Tips would be great

You might consider just cutting the seat pan down and re-doing the foam and cover.
If you have patience you can often find a cheap part-out on e-bay to cut up for practice.

If there's a Harbor Freight nearby, they have an air stapler that uses the Swingline T50 staples.
Set your compressor for about 90psi and it set them perfectly.

Most folks use an electric carving knife to sculpt the foam. I borrowed my wife's.
They work great. Just be sure to go with a marine-grade vinyl, if you expect it to last.

HAHAHA!!!...well I already it the stock seat down and I didn't really like the look of
It....but I may just do what you said and strip it down to the Pan and start cutting and just use new foam...I'm a slot machine tech at casino and we have a air stapler for recovering slot chairs...it wouldnt be the first time I brought projects to work...lol....
