Hi guys.. well thanks for all the responses... i never thought it would escalate into a heated debate.. but still lol..
I have two sets of mirrors... 1 set were on the bike.. white/pearl (one with a broken mount arm.. that was fudged when brought).. and another set (good old ebay) again white boots (luckily) but red mirrors...

I have since sprayed the red mirrors white/pearl.. and cleaned up the boots... (made a little F&*k up.. with the clear coat.. but beginners errors i guess...)

I was going to cut open the mirror mount but thought i'd F**k it up even more that way... lol.. thanks for your assistance tho.. i hope it dont become a habbit be begging for help :-)

Still no pics as yet.. need a new rear tyre (damn screws lol) and respay the rear swing arm.. i dont have the ***** to tackle the lower fairing i dont think (well not yet anyhow..)
Will post pics when i've managed to sort the bits ;-)

But thanks again ok...

no debate I just thought it seemed like a lot of work to cut and dissasemble mirrors, just to paint them.

Hi cbreric,

Wondering if you can help me please.

I am just trying to adjust the mirror glass position on my CBR600F1 1989 and cannot get the glass to move, I think the swivel has seized up a bit with age. I am trying to find a way of freeing the swivel without breaking anything.
When you stripped your mirror down I was wondering if you managed to remove the glass to get to the swivel, without breaking the glass.??

Kind regards
Dennis

This member hasn’t been active for a very long time. I wouldn’t count on a reply. But who knows, you might get lucky.
