Hi,

My neighbor is selling a late 70s model Honda 500cbrx with a kick-start. The ad reads "needs a starter". I thought that on kick-start bikes the driver's shoe was the starter. As we cannot both be correct (unless of course I have misunderstood the ad and my neighbor just wants to pay someone to kick-start his bike for him), please respond. Thank you very much.

What he has IS NOT a CBR, it is a CB500, which has both electric AND kickstart. I had its bigger better brother, the 550K, which was pretty nice.
