Default ignition question

ok. i got my cbr a while ago. when i recieved it the only way to start is is to jump a wire ran from the + terminal to the yellow wire on the right of the handle bars... can anyone tell me what SHOULD go here? there are actually 4 wires.

1-yellow-starter
2-blue-headlight
3-black-??
4-black-spliced into another black that goes to the "sun/stop" switch

what is suppost to go here?

black/red goes to fuse box headlight.

yellow/red goes to 4p conn 30 amp fuse.

blacks tied together go to fuse ignition, start, fuel pump, and fuel pump relay.

white/blue goes to hi/lo light switch

black/white goes to ignition coils and spark unit.

This is what im talking about.... i KNOW what they go to.. cause the only way to start it is take a previously runbattery hotwire to the "yellow" wire.. that kicks the starter on, then when you ride, push the wire to the blue one... BUT, what should these go to? shouldnt they connect to something?? theres is no "start" button on my bike...

ugh....yeahhhhh.....

they should be going to the inside of the control pod on soldered contacts. you should crack yours open and see what happened to them. either resolder the wires (if you have enough length) back onto the contacts, or get a replacement control pod. yeesh... that's horrible.

should've just had a pic to begin with.

OOOO. thank you very much michigan_313.

for one... how is that control all nice and black? and for 2, i dont have a start button period. which is prolly why the guy did what he did. i need a whole new control now. time to call cycle recycle.

i bought control that way hidden away from the sun. i guess one could soak the plastic in black ink and see if that works.

if you need a start switch, you could probably find a small momentary switch to put in the hole where the original switch used to be.
