Do you have the plastic off the bike?

I havent noticed it to happen when it's not raining. I usually don't ride without the plastics even though it does look mean without em. My buddy suggested that it might be moisture in the tank and to put some fuel stabilizer in it and let the gas run out. I think I should also replace the fuel filter while I'm at it. What do you guys think?

You can try some seafoam in the tank, but I think you should check the connections on your coils. Make sure they are tight and put some didlectric grease on them. On all your connections for that matter. Same thing happens on older cars with distributors, if moisture gets in, it causes misfires. and by your saying that the exhaust sounds funny, im assuming one of your cylinders stops firing.

Whatever you do make sure your plugs are good and that your running the good octane (91) for fuel. Also make sure your maintance is all done and after checking your carbs you should be all set. These bikes work pretty good with just some good fuel and some minor tinkering.

These bikes do not require 91 octane. They are tuned for 87. If you run 91 you are going to have your combustion too late and will in fact lose power.

I'm aware of that but the ethenol does play a factor. I don't loose any power. Then again I take good care of my bike but to each is own. I had another bike I had to drain the gas because the the gas station got bad gas. I know my bike well enough and it does fine. But thanks for the suggestion.

Thats so weird though, that 91 or 94 in my case could be the cause of the issue. All I put in is 94 but I recently got the bike and it's been running great on 94. I didn't ask the guy before me what he put in, I just assumed it was 94. I haven't opened up the carbs yet though. Since it's my first bike and I haven't worked on any before, it'll be a challenge. But what's weird is that it runs upto 5k rpm in first at which point it feels like it's losing power but it could be pushed through. The second and third gear seem to be fine.

No red your problem is not your octane, out of curiousity do you live in europe? If so in europe you should be using 91 octane, as that is equal to 87 octane in North America. Your problem is either dirty carbs, or moisture getting into your ignition system.
