Hurricane oil catch belly pan
Doing a 87 600F for road racing...I require a belly pan for catchment of 4 to 5 litres for oil, coolant etc. any ideas, anyone? Thanks!
Custom fab one yourself.
Use a FIA certified transmission catch blanket for a car.
Swap all your body plastics to a bike with a catch pan.
Don't forget you will need to drill your axles, headers, head tubes, and just about every stressed bolt on the bike for safety wire...
A good how to is here: http://amaproracing.com/rr/news/index.cfm?cid=51703

Mission raceway, British Columbia. Also, regarding the second post, of course I can fab one. I merely wanted to know if anyone knew of one ready made. Would like to keep appearance close to stock.
Nobody has made one for the hurricane for production. By the time belly pans were required on bikes the hurricane was already out to pasture. The F3 had come out and came with it standard. Most tracks will let a FIA certified catch blanket work instead of the pan. A FIA certified transmission blanket is fairly cost obtainable and will fit under the stock plastics, with some minor modifications. http://www.summitracing.com/search/p...ssion-blankets
Make sure and check with your track to make sure they are ok with a catch blanket instead.

Drakito, thanks for the thorough explanation, I had not thought of the era. I raced in 87-88 and am now returning....never occurred to me to use a blanket. Thanks!
Awesome. I'd love to check out your 'canes sometime. IIRC you are upisland?
