Default How do I change my brake pads?

I know this might sound like a stupid question, and its funny because i even did it before. But i cant for the life of me figure out how to get these pads out of the caliper...
Dont i just use a flathead screwdriver to unscrew the 2....long bolts on the side holding the pads in?
If thats all i do, then I TRIED THAT....they are stuck in there...any suggestions on how to get them out? No way for a rust penetrator to get in there to loosen it up either. Im sure the heat from my bare metal on metal brakes has made them stuck.
and
How do i get the bolts out of the side of the caliper on the back wheel tho?

(Im talking the bolts that hold the pads in the caliper, not the bolts that hold the caliper to the forks/support)

find a manual, download it and read how to do it correctly. Brakes are not supposed to be difficult to do. I would imagine the hardest part would be taking the wheel on and off. Sounds like you may be doing something you really don't need to be if you are taking bolts out of the caliper itself. But then again...I'm not a mechanic so I could be completely wrong. Find a manual...it would be worth it.

Nah theres holes on the brake pad, and then the bolts go through the caliper and through the holes on the brake pad to hold them there. I know i need to remoe the bolts, just dont no how.

there are two flat head screws on the side of the caliper remove these. after they are removed there will be two allen head'ed bolts. push up on the pads lightly and unscrew the bolts. pads will fall out.

these bolts can be very hard to unscrew, you dont need to remove the wheel at all. maybe you just need an impact driver or just remove caliper put in a clamp an use a proper screwdriver with a lot of force or a bit and a bar if you have it. once i broke 2 screwdriver doing these its not easy and if you use a not enough large screwdriver you can ruin head of bolts

Mount the caliper back on, then loosen the bolt/screw that holds the pad first, then remove the caliper.....ever try removing you car wheel after jacking up car??

Trying to remove the bolt/screw that holds the pad when to caliper is off is impossible, you have not leverage....so put it back on...

My dad showed me this trick. Get the proper size screw driver and while your trying to turn it have a friend or yourself tap the end of the screw driver. This creates a type of impact drive and works awesomely. And penetrating lube also
