IMHO the standard brakes were pretty good. As long as the brake caliper mounts aren't worn and all the seals and master cylinders are good, I'd go for upgrading the front suspension with emulators (Race Tech or Traxxion -some posts indicate that while the Race Tech emulators are OK, Traxxion's recommendations for modifying the damper rods is the better of the 2. Add stiffer springs depending on your weight), then braided brake lines if the existing ones aren't up to it. The bikes were pretty good brakers and handlers and still aren't bad, so extra mods are fruitless unless the tyres, bearings, sliders, seals, etc etc are in good shape.

Thank you for a quick reply. The bike has braided lines already so that will save me a few pounds. This is my first bike mate "emulators (Race Tech or Traxxion -some posts indicate that while the Race Tech emulators are OK, Traxxion's recommendations for modifying the damper rods is the better of the 2" I have no idea what any of that meant any way you could say it and i would understand, sorry for asking but i realy have no idea what all of that is
