has it ever been done?
hey fellas!
ive been riding the CBR around all summer having an absolute blast!
but i may have some extra money to throw at it, and i LOVE this F1! so im really not interesting in upgrading.
so anyways on to my questions...
has anyone ever done an extended rear swingarm on an F1, in order to give a stretch, and allow for a larger back wheel/tire?
is there any way to lower the front forks? what about the rear suspension?

I am sure that it has been done but I don't have a specific example for you but people lower and extend their swingarms all the time. Personally I am not a fan of the look. Remember if you do this the handling of the bike is going to be complete chit. Lowering and stretching a bike is really only good for straight line riding.
Yes people have modded GSXR extended swingarms onto the Hurricane. If you want to lower your front forks, I wouldnt recommend lowering more than an inch, but just loosen your triple tree fork clamps and adjust them up with the help of a buddy or 2 of course.
But yea once again, unless youre going to be doing some dragracing, theres no point to do this unless your have troubles flatfooting.

+1.....no fun after stretched...drag is ok...

hrmm.. well i think the extended swing arm might be overboard on an old school sportbike, but i think i would like to try and lower the front.

Yes you can do it yourself, just get some buds to assist you. Where your tripple tree clamps onto your forks, just loosen them off and then push your front end down to your desired height, but dont go too far because you dont want to smash your fender if the forks bottom out.
If you don't have a couple of buddies handy you can hang the front of the bike using cargo straps... I lowered the front of my Hurricane when my wife was learning to ride on it. It really does adversely affect the handling.
