Default Gas Mileage ?

OK, I have the 1989 600 FL and I'm curious what type of gas mileage you are all getting? My tanks fills with about 2.5 gallons. I pump every 110 miles, thats about 44mpg. Anyone know if I can push that?

Also, my "ON" position on my tank is UP, is that the same for you all?

If you drive on the interstate system lots you can save about 20% if you drive 55 instead of 80.Also make sure you don't carry any excess weight in the vehicle that's not needed for every 50 lbs of extra weight you loose 1mpg.You can also buy a vacuum operated mileage indicator that you mount near the dash with a hose that tee's into your vacuum system.

My wife routinely gets lower 50's on the highway with hers. My 600rr will do high 30's lower 40's.

Who the frick buys a sport bike with the intention of riding slower than the speed limit to get better mileage? I think you're lost, the minivan forum is that way ---->
