Default Finding parts in 2021 and other questions

So I just picked up a decent 1990 CBR 600. It needs some work but overall I think it's got potential. The problem is, it's 2021 and I cant find anybody that seems to sell parts for the bike. It seems like there are many options for new plastics for the F2 model and above but I don't think anyone makes plastics for the first gen, for example. My other bike, a Yamaha XS650 that is 10 years older has entire websites dedicated to selling parts for it. Anyone got good sources for cosmetic parts, engine internal parts, performance parts, ect? If I ever decided I wanted to rebuild the engine, is it still possible to do with new parts in 2021?

I'm mostly curious, I don't think I need anything major at the moment, plastics are scratched but only 1 crack that I know of and it's pretty small. Runs poorly but it sat for 2 years and it's setup to gravity feed (fuel pump does nothing and I wanted to test ride it lol). Biggest issue once I get it running well will just be making sure all the lights are good to go.

Few other random questions:
1) Are these things kinda cold blooded? I have ridden it a grand total of twice and only for a handful of miles both times, but both times the temperature gage seemed to stay in the bottom 1/4 to 1/3, despite the fact that I know it's running a bit lean, and I was beating on it.
2)The first little bit of the clutch seems to be where the friction zone is. I don't think it's slipping but it feels weird that I have to let it out so far to get any engagement. How much free play should it have?
3)Does it have a rev limiter or does it just blow up?
4)How compatible are engine/other parts between CBR 600 generations? What about between the 90 and the 87-89? I know they massaged a bit more power out of the '90, so what are the differences between my year and the other gen one bikes?

Thanks!

The only places I know of for body work are "find used", and Air Tech ( https://www.airtech-streamlining.com/ ). Used is getting thin, most are all busted up. I've seen it recommended multiple times that your best bet is to hoard complete bikes.

Perfectly normal, I'd say. Being that there is no scale on the gauge, it's not really telling you much other than that you aren't too cold, or too hot. The test in the service manual is to ground the temp sensor wire and make sure the gauge swings full hot.

Clutch lever free play is 10-20 mm at the lever tip. Or your typical "slip a nickel between the lever and perch at the pivot.

3)Does it have a rev limiter or does it just blow up?
Limiter. Not sure the exact rpm, but just a hair past the 12K redline on the tach.

1990 got the bigger carbs (obviously). But camshaft part numbers are different as well.

As for other generations, I am not so sure.

Finding parts is only going to get more difficult. The 600F didn't have a long production run, nor is it some highly desired bike, as following generations only got better/faster/lighter. I recently wadded my 88 up (thanks Bambi), and while searching around deciding where to go with the bike I am finding very few new parts available. Luckily easy stuff like sprockets, levers, filters, etc are easy to come by. But new fairings? Lights? Start hunting used or fabricating something else on.
