For what its worth, the Vance and Hines SSR2 on my Hurricane is pretty loud compared to my other bikes too.

Not like my RC51 track bike with no sound baffling in the exhaust

"wide open" would mean there is no baffle material within the can to deaden the sound. the baffle material is just a tightly bundled fiberglass mat around the perforated exhaust core. most of older model exhaust cans have it in them but can be removed and replaced. newer designed units have a removable baffle insert to use as a sound deadener. it is inserted into the end of the tail and held with a large c-clip.

I have a wide open yoshi race pipe on mine, and I absolutely love it! But if you aren't looking for loud, this wouldn't be the pipe for you haha!! But if it means anything, I get compliments on it all the time, even from a few Harley riders, and take it from me, I used to work at a Harley dealership, and if you are on a sport bike and get any compliment from some of the hardcore Harley riders.....consider yourself VERY lucky.

Can you get a sound clip of your bike idling/revving?? I'd very much appreciate it

right now it is still too cold to start the bike up where I am, but as soon as I get it started I'll post it.
