Default Carb line help asap...

i just did a full bike restore on my 88 cbr600f1 and now im a little confused. im new to the bike world. this is my first one and i love it so far. there are two lines coming off the car in between the two on the left in right. i believe they are return lines but i dont want to jump to any conclusions. going to be a full custom and everything is going good so far but i got no idea where these lines go. they do nothing but spit out gas like crazy. refer to the pix. please help...

Hi bro did you check out the service manual you can download on here it's at the top of our forum. There should be a schematic that will help identify the parts in question. you could do a youtube vid like I've done in the past and show the carbs and the lines you are uncertain about. To put a youtube vid on here you just copy the youtube URL into the box after clicking on the globe-link in the message/ reply box. hope this makes sense.

There is no fuel return line, only a feed line. When the bowls are full the floats close off the fuel supply.. at least when they are working properly. It sounds like you might be talking about the vent lines, but there aren't any pictures to reference. Might have a problem with the carbs causing them to dump fuel into the vent hoses, but that's just a guess, I can't say for sure without seeing anything.

Yeah. sounds like a stuck float/float needle. Going to have to pull the carbs apart. Check your float heights and float needle action.
