Can someone do a resistance test for me?
Hi,
If you read my last post I am having trouble getting my bike to start. I have a hunch now its either the CDI at fault or the pulser coils in the left side crank case.To confirm the manual I have says to check the operation of the coils to do a resistance test on them. I am getting a resistance off one but not the other and am wondering if this isnormal.
Can somebody with a running bike please do me a favour and check the operation of there pulsar coils. It is very simple to do just disconnect the 4 pin block connector from the CDI and do a resitance test (ohms scale) with a multimeter between the
BLUE, and BLUE AND WHITE WIRE
YELLOW and YELLOW AND WHITE WIRE
on the block connector. I am getting a resitance between the yellow and yellow and white wire,. but nothing between the blue wires. I would be greatfull for someone with a running bikes results.
Many thanks
James

RE: Can someone do a resistance test for me?
Thanks for that gear, looks like thats the fault. The tollerances are 450-550 ohms, so yours are well in. Also you have a benchmark now incaseyou ever have the same problem I will inspect mine asap, maybee it is just a loose connection, fingers crossed.
Many thanks
James
