Exclamation Brake Fluid Change & Bleed Procedure -------->

Hello all im changing the brake fluid on a 1989 honda cbr 600. The bike has been sitting for couple years and i got it running now going to the brakes, it does need new front pads so im going to get them also. Wondering how much DOT4 do i need and also how do i get all the old fluid out of the bike (Flush System), and also wondering if anyone has the brake bleed procedure? I have the front rotors off and also have the rear off, now cleaning the rotors with brake cleaner getting them all clean. I did notice the front pads when i hit the brakes when i first rode it it flew black grease on the rim. Anyways hopefully someone can help me out Thanks..

You can either pull the lines and blow it out or just pump new fluid through untill it shows up clear. To bleed you fill the reservoir and pump until you feel some pressure and then hold brake in loosen the bleed valve on the caliper until it stops squirting, close the valve and repeat until no air comes out. You want to keep our reservoir full while you do it.
