yes they are or the bike probably wouldnt run at all.

 

Try these...
1. clogged fuel line or fuel filter
2. sticking float valve(s)
3. faulty fuel pump or fuel pump relay..( my choice )
4.clogged fuel tank vent hole
5.loose fuel pump relay wire

 

I bypassed the fuel pump relay and it still runs the same, I think it may be a sticking float valve, how would I know?

 

Did you check the fuel pump output? You know.... measure it? If you have cleaned the carbs 3 times then I'm assuming that you are now very familiar with them. I don't know how you will know if a float is sticking or not.... anyone.... Bueller...... sucks to have 4 individual carbs. Did you totally tear them down and clean everything. When you reassembled them are you sure that everything went back together right. Reason why is.... there are so many little parts and so many detailed things that can go wrong.. clogged jets.. sticky floats... vacuum leaks. That's why I'm asking. Hard enough to troubleshoot 1 carb.

 

I agree with Billistic; pointing a can of carb cleaner at a carb and really cleaning the carbs are not the same thing. Just checkin, though. I know I gutted my carbs 3 times and replaced about $200 bucks worth of crap before they were right.

 

The first time, I did just spray some carb cleaner through them but once that didn't fix them I took each one off the rack and took everything out of them and cleaned themand used compressed air through them. I am not going to spend $200 onparts to fix them. I think I may just get some off of a running bike for $100.

 

Ok I took the carbs apart again and guess what I found, one of the diaphragms had atwo hair line tears in it. Any idea on how to repair them,i was thinking silicone?
